Leadership as been defined by different individuals and groups in various ways some of which are ,as ability of Management to induce subordinates to work towards group goals with confidence and keeness.

Dr John P. Kotter, Proffesor of Leadership @ Havard University defines Leadership as "the development of vision and strategies, the alignment, and the empowerment of individuals to make the vision happen despite obstacles".

Former American President --R. Reagan defined Leadership as "one who gets the people to do the greatest things".William Cohen says Leadership has the extraordinary power. It can make the difference between success and failure in anything you do for yourself or any group you belong to.

Lord Montogomery in his book, Path to Leadership, describes a Leader as : "One who can be looked up to , whose personal judgement is trusted, who can inspire and warm the hearts of those he leads gaining their trust and confidence and explaning what is needed in Language which can be understood".I could write all day long on Leadesrship definition , but for the sake of space i will want to limit it to above definitions for now.

It is a common and core belief that behind every successful outfit, be it a company , a Nation, a Military unit, in network marketing etc, is a group of competent leaders as everything rises and falls on Leadership. It must however be noted that Leadership is not synonymous with administrative ability alone.

Have we personally and collectively asked this singular question : Why do we need Leaders? Attending seminars, conferences and workshops on building/developing Vision as always thrilled me for years, moreso with facilitators and speakers taking turn to talk about their "VISION"and go on to explain how they were going to go out and accomplish all these things.

Thereafter, i get motivated and work on my vision, by putting down my goals and having a deep thought on what i wanted to accomplish in the future.

Unfortunately, for several years, with all the struggles, hard work and extra efforts, i never accomplished much of my set goal.

Like many of us, i could not really differentiate between my goals and vision.

In the course of climbing the success ladder which was achieved, when i realised that my vision is not my goal,then i realised Vision and Goals are two different things entirely.

Goal is something you hope to achieve, but vision is quite complex for many to decode. In the elementary form, your vision is how you see yourself. You can set goals day in and day out, but if you do not really and genuinely see yourself accomplishing them , then your goal becomes unrealisable.

To make your goal realisable, you first must genuinely expect yourself to achieve it.

Your vision( what you see for yourself or expect) is the principal determinant for your success.

When i had my first business venture, i was broke, heavy debt portfolio, pressure from my creditors day in and day out. My vision or where i saw myself at that time was a poor little businessman who had been poor most part of his life.

I kept thinking and talking of my position( dead broke, business failure, creditors pressure). I never knew that my vision, which is trained by my subconscious mind ( Innermost), was overriding my efforts/struggles to succeed.

It was when i read some couple of books that i now had full understanding of the concept. Once i understood the difference between vision and goal, my life was never the same again.

Now the Million Dollar question is , if your vision is the determinant of your success

How do you make your vision bring needed results?

Prior to this, you need to know what shaped your vision.

3 things created your vision thus:

A. How people see/view you --- Much as you cannot please everybody so also you cannot displease everyone too, hence you do not mix with those who only see/view your negative side and do not believe in you. Mix/Hang out with those that sees your potentials and celebrate you.

B. Your past as gone with history, hence nothing can be done to change/alter it, so start focussing on and start celebrating your achievement/success.

C. How you see yourself( thought) and how you talk about (of) yourself, is a major determinant on how your vision is sharped. Every word, every action , and every thought is an entry into your innermost mind(subconscious mind) .

Everything you assimiliate (input) into your innermost mind produces some kind of results that matches the input.If you input negative thought, you will see negative results. If you input positive thought, you will see positive results. Liken it to the computer system basic principle : GIGO (Garbage in Garbage out).Sorry for the digression anyway.

Everything you put into your mind, every thought, every action, every word get deposited into your subconscious mind, which actually create "Who you are"
.
An interesting aspect is that your success is fully controlled by your subconscious mind.It is absolutely more powerful than your conscious mind. It believes and it acts upon every single things you tell it.

If you say to yourself, you are tired , you are sick , you are broke, your business is down, your subconscious mind figures out a way to show those result in your life. Meanwhile,if you begin to tell yourself you are wealthy, you are healthy, you are happy, your business is up and running ; your subsconcious mind starts to see it that way, does everything within its power/reach to create that in your life.

Another interesting angle to it is that our subconscious mind cannot differentiate a truth and a lie. It simply acts on what you have (planted) given it to believe.

So when you say I am successful, i am confident , your conscious mind grabs it telling you you are full of it, but the main determinant of your success ---- subconscious mind accepts it as a commmand signal, and works out a way for you to be all those things.

The secret to success is to constantly fill your subconscious mind with empowering, uplifting and motivating input/deposits( thought and talks).

Why most people are what they are is because they live by a philosophy of have and then be. Majority walk around miserable , saying if i could have this and that i will be happy and excited all life long.

The point is that things does not work that way in life, as whatever you want to attract, you have to become the person before you have the result.

This works for almost everything in life, as you first become successful in your mind before you manifest success in real life.

A friend that happens to be a football coach for under 12 years old kids, who lives close to me rekindles my knowledge of this principle. The Million Dollar question is how did the kids perform on high spirits, beating nearly all opponents that comes across them, even though they are younger and smaller in size to their opponents. There and then, i asked my friend the secrets of his teams performance and he said to me it is all in the BASICS.

During training, all he does with the kids is keeping positive mindset ---optimistic , and practising the Basics/Fundamentals. He said his team never stratergizes on incoming matches during training. All the team does is work hard on all the basics/fundamentals of whatever particular game they are having and they do this far more than their opponent.Constant training and improvement of the basics is what brought about his team progress faster than his opponents.

While most other teams work towards how to defeat their opponents, thereby over strategize, placing emphasis on stregth and harass/intimidate their opponents, my friends team is good at the basics that they out play their opponents on the field of play.This now re-awakening my thinking about my own Internet Business , of the need to always improve on the BASICS.

Majority try to build a profitable Internet Home Business via the short cut. They want it to start generating profit immediately, hence they fall to get - rich quick schemes and advertising scams that promises gold and diamond; which in real sense does not produce any meaningful result. All that the promoters of these schemes are looking for is just to steal peoples hard earned cash.

Really the act of being desperate in the search for immediate solution often leads to been taken advantage of and the possibility of success with online work at home business become slim to zero level.
